11 defeats and a better points record than their opponents sit behind Kansas City Chiefs betting odds, which still make the club favourite in its own division.

Kansas City finished 6-11 last season and outscored their opponents. They put up 362 points and conceded 328, a positive differential of 34.
Nine of those eleven defeats were by one possession.
The defence ranked sixth in the league in points allowed at 19.3 a game and tenth in total yards.
PowerPlay Sportsbook has the Chiefs 2.65 to win the AFC West, shorter than Denver at 3.00 and the Chargers at 2.80, with 17.00 for Super Bowl LXI and 8.00 in the conference.
The 6-11 season ended a run of nine consecutive division titles and was the franchise's first losing year since 2012.

Mahomes Is on the Roster and Has Not Been Publicly Cleared
Patrick Mahomes tore the anterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments in Week 15 against the Chargers. It was the first time in his career that Kansas City missed the playoffs.
He was cleared for training camp practice in late July but not for game action and did not take a preseason snap.
On 24 August Andy Reid said Mahomes was "probably not cleared enough" to play at Tampa Bay and added: "I'm literally taking it day by day.
There are no predictions here on anything."
Mahomes himself was more direct. "It's nine months," he said on 25 August.
"The amount of time the doctors said from the beginning, that if I did everything the right way, I would be ready to play Week 1."
On 29 August both NFL Network and ESPN reported he was on track to start and had hit every check mark.
He was placed on the initial 53 man roster at the cutdown rather than on the physically unable to perform list, alongside Justin Fields and the rookie Garrett Nussmeier.
There is still no club statement clearing him. Mahomes is 3.00 for Comeback Player of the Year, favourite on that board, and 14.00 for MVP.
They Signed the Super Bowl MVP and Traded Their Best Cornerback
On 9 March Kansas City signed Kenneth Walker III away from Seattle on a 3 year deal worth up to 45 million dollars with 28.7 million guaranteed.
He was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl LX, having run for 135 yards on 27 carries in the final.
A Super Bowl MVP changing clubs the following season had not happened since Dexter Jackson.
Three days later they went the other way, sending the cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams for four picks, including the 29th overall.
They also lost the starting corner Jaylen Watson to the same club.
That is why they traded up from ninth to sixth in April, sending picks 9, 74 and 148 to Cleveland for the LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane.
"We felt like we needed to go up and snag him," Reid said.
Eric Bieniemy returned as offensive coordinator on 23 January, three years after leaving. Steve Spagnuolo was retained for an eighth season on defence.
They Are Leaving Arrowhead
On 22 December the club announced it will leave Arrowhead for a new stadium in Kansas City, Kansas, near the Kansas Speedway, ready for the 2031 season.
The financing runs through state bonds covering up to seventy percent of the cost, repaid from sales and liquor tax revenue, with a new practice facility in Olathe.
The Jackson County lease expires in January 2031. Arrowhead has been home since 1972.
Kansas City open at home to Denver on the season's Monday night premiere. There are no Canadians or former CFL players on the roster.

What September Tells You
Everything, and quickly.
Kansas City are 1.60 to go under 10.5 regular season wins, which is the firmest lean on any contender's line.
The first official injury report of the season lands the Wednesday before the opener. That is the day Mahomes' status becomes a matter of record rather than reporting.
If he starts and looks himself, a club that outscored its opponents while going 6-11 has a straightforward case at 2.65 in the division.
If he does not, Justin Fields inherits a roster whose best cornerback was traded and whose Super Bowl MVP running back arrived from somewhere else.
The market has already decided which of those it expects. The season decides whether it was right.
