Los Angeles Chargers Odds to Win AFC West 2026 After Sweeping Chiefs
A top five defence and a quarterback who has never won a playoff game are what LA Chargers betting odds are built on.
Live Odds for Chargers at Seahawks SGP (Oct 04, 2026)
Los Angeles finished 11-6 last season and ranked fifth in the NFL for total yards allowed, at 285.2 a game.
It was a second consecutive season inside the top ten for both points and yards conceded.
They then lost 16-3 at New England in the wild card round, going 1 for 10 on third down and gaining 207 yards, the second fewest in the club's playoff history.
Justin Herbert is 0-3 as a playoff starter.
Two days later Jim Harbaugh sacked the offensive coordinator Greg Roman and the offensive line coach.
PowerPlay has the Chargers 16.00 for Super Bowl LXI, 8.00 in the AFC and 2.80 to win the AFC West, second behind Kansas City at 2.65 and ahead of Denver at 3.00.

An Unsolved Problem With a Named Solution
Mike McDaniel was hired as offensive coordinator in late January, arriving from Miami where he went 35-33 in four seasons as head coach.
Hiring a former head coach to run one side of the ball is a specific answer to a specific question, and the question is January rather than September.
Herbert threw for 3,727 yards with 26 touchdowns and thirteen interceptions last season at 66.4 percent, adding a career high 498 rushing yards, and made his second Pro Bowl.
The regular season has not been the problem.
He is 10.00 for MVP, joint fourth on that board, and 21.00 for most passing yards.
The club also lost its defensive coordinator. Jesse Minter left to become head coach at Baltimore on 22 January and is 9.50 for Coach of the Year, second.
Chris O'Leary arrived from Western Michigan to replace him.
Jim Harbaugh remains head coach and is 20.00 for Coach of the Year, tenth on that board.
They Swept Kansas City and Still Finished Second
Los Angeles beat Kansas City twice last season, the first time they had done it since 2013 and the first sweep by any AFC West club since 2014.
The second of those wins, 16-13 in December, eliminated the Chiefs from playoff contention.
Kansas City are now 2.65 to win the division and the Chargers 2.80.
Keenan Allen became the fastest player in NFL history to 1,000 receptions last October, reaching the mark in 159 games against Marvin Harrison's 167, then passed Antonio Gates as the club's all-time receptions leader.
He left as a free agent this summer.
The centre Tyler Biadasz, signed in March on three years and 30 million dollars, tore an anterior cruciate ligament in a joint practice on 19 August and is on season ending injured reserve.
Los Angeles have not won the AFC West since 2009 and have not won a playoff game since the 2018 season.
Three Canadians, One of Them a First Round Pick
Akheem Mesidor went 22nd overall in April. Born in Ottawa, he was the CFL Scouting Bureau's top rated prospect and had 12.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss in fifteen starts at Miami last season.
He signed a fully guaranteed four year rookie contract worth 20.46 million dollars.
Deane Leonard is also on the roster. From Calgary, he went in the seventh round in 2022 out of the University of Calgary and Ole Miss, and intercepted a pass in the wild card defeat.
The offensive lineman Logan Taylor, from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, went in the sixth round out of Boston College and made the initial 53 as well.
Three Canadians on one roster, one of them a first round investment, makes this the most followable AFC club in Canada after Buffalo.
The Chargers open at home to Arizona on Sunday 13 September and have no international fixture this season. SoFi Stadium, their home, stages Super Bowl LXI in February.

Where Could the Market Be Wrong?
The Chargers are 8.00 in the AFC, joint third with Kansas City, 18.00 for the best regular season record and 1.68 to go over 9.5 wins.
The argument for is the simplest on this page.
A top five defence plus a quarterback with 26 touchdowns is a contender, and they have hired a man whose entire reputation is offence to fix the one month that has gone wrong.
The argument against is that the offence has been rebuilt around a coordinator rather than personnel, and that three straight wild card exits is a pattern rather than an accident.
The board has them second in their own division behind a Kansas City side that went 6-11 last season and got swept by them.
The AFC West has been priced close to the reverse of last season's standings, and the Chargers are the club that reads most consistently across both.
