Dallas Stars Betting Odds: Healthy Again and Back in Cup Race
Getting healthy rather than getting different remains the whole story behind Dallas Stars betting odds this season, after an injury riddled roster fell in the first round one year after a third straight Western Conference Final appearance.
Roope Hintz, the club's only true number one centre, missed the entire playoff run with a torn hamstring. Mikko Rantanen played through an MCL tear that limited his mobility but still produced seven points in six games. Dallas pushed Minnesota to six games before the exit.
PowerPlay Sportsbook has Dallas at 15.00 to win the Stanley Cup and 4.75 to win the Central Division, third-shortest in the group.

Where the Market Has Dallas Landing
A 1.22 price to make the playoffs keeps Dallas firmly inside the group of genuine Central contenders, comfortably ahead of the pack chasing wild card spots.
The core bet is still straightforward. Hintz and Rantanen are back in the lineup, Tyler Seguin has returned from ACL surgery, and the current top six has featured Jason Robertson with Hintz and Jamie Benn, plus Sam Steel with Wyatt Johnston and Rantanen.
For sports betting purposes, the opening games have shifted the question from availability to execution. Dallas has its main forwards back, but still needs to turn that health into more consistent five-on-five scoring.
A Contract That Didn't Settle the Question
Jason Robertson, who put up 96 points last season, spent the summer at the centre of trade and offer sheet speculation before filing for arbitration and signing a one year, $12 million contract. He can sign a longer extension from January 1 and could become an unrestricted free agent next summer, leaving his future in Dallas genuinely open.
General manager Jim Nill traded restricted free agent Mavrik Bourque and defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin to Nashville for draft picks as Dallas worked to become cap compliant and create room for Robertson's deal. Joel Kiviranta returned on a one year contract after three seasons in Colorado, and captain Jamie Benn resigned for another run.
Health Over Additions
Hintz, Rantanen, Seguin and Lian Bichsel all opened the season in the lineup, and Seguin has already scored his first goal since November 2025. The fresh concern is Matt Duchene, who underwent core muscle surgery and is expected to miss roughly three months, while Kiviranta is also out with a lower body injury.
Wyatt Johnston and Jason Robertson remain central to the offence. Johnston led the NHL with 27 powerplay goals last season, and the current top unit has mostly featured Johnston, Robertson, Hintz, Rantanen and Miro Heiskanen.
Jake Oettinger remains the clear starter with Casey DeSmith backing him up, leaving the forward health and scoring picture as the larger early season issue.

Central Division Landscape

Dallas sits third in the division market, behind Colorado and Minnesota but narrowly ahead of Utah.
What Has to Go Right
The core championship case still starts with health, but the opening games have added an execution question. Hintz, Rantanen, Johnston, Robertson and captain Benn are available, yet Dallas still needs more consistent five-on-five scoring while Duchene recovers.
The 4.75 division price and 1.22 playoff price both suggest the market agrees the talent was never the issue last spring.
